ABOUT US
Travel through Central America and parts of Europe exposed us to the suffering of street dogs. All too often it’s overwhelming. Helping one dog in Albania led us to some courageous and wonderful local people working to alleviate the suffering of these outcasts. These people buck cultural norms to lend a hand to neglected and abused animals. These cultural norms put dogs on a scale alongside rats. Please join with us to walk arm in arm with the people helping animals on the street. We never ask for donations, rather we hope to receive your support by Liking, Following, and Sharing our Facebook page. As our project develops we will post all phases of our activities on Facebook.

MEET PIKU
This is Piku, months after being treated for parasitic diseases and starvation. We won't show you what he looked like when he was on the street. We ran into him on our first day in Albania in 2017. Over a series of days we became deeply involved in his condition, all the while as people passed this skeleton of a dog on the street. After bringing him to two vets in his city we drove him to Tirana to receive more complex care. There he received a very strong treatment over several weeks. He went into remission for several months and finally lived as a dog should live. As his condition again deteriorated we brought him to Italy for a still higher level of care. Unfortunately he could not be saved. He experienced the good side of humanity through Albanians and Italians who helped in his care. We came to love him and hence we started this charity.
